Some people are gifted writers.
I am not.
Others have been educated, taught to write.
I haven't.
Nevertheless
I attempt to share my heart as I am seeking His.

Isaiah, chapter 61:
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
    to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
    instead of ashes,
    the oil of gladness
    instead of mourning,
    and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.

May my attempts here join the multitude of others who are "oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor."

  1. What a rich blessing it is for me to read the words of your heart. In the rush of life the written word slows us down. Writing seems so much more deliberate than speaking, don't you think?

You ARE a gifted writer because you feel, love, and live deeply and all of that bubbles out onto the page.
What a gift you are to me!

    Much love,
    Kara

Thank you for sharing your heart. The way you open yourself honestly makes you a gifted writer, but more importantly, a beautiful soul.
    God Bless

  4. What makes it truly beautiful is being the work in progress willing to throw yourself out there to be used. He's never done with you and He'll take all you give and find a way to use it.

    Good job girlie!
