and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

maybe it's time to change course."

Giving thanks 309-332
that we can change course when we realize that we are, in fact, worn out
an overcast morning at the beach
with an hour of afternoon sun
pelicans diving for fish
the way the sun glitters on the water just before the wave crests
the way our boy and our girl enjoy each other's company
the two of them riding a wave in
the words "one more hug, mommy"
the love and prayers for my 'community'
the love and prayers of my community
us knowing that "though I am absent in the flesh,
yet I am with you in spirit" Col 2:5
a new school year
the white board
his little (or not so little) feet under his table
the last of the monarch caterpillars for this season
Saturday morning football
followed by Saturday afternoon swimming and snow cones
the surprise gift of beach mats
a staff that carries on in praise and worship as if the power were not out
acoustic music of worship in a dimly lit room
children's hopes that a pumpkin will be in the garden for a Thanksgiving pie
a night swim with my hubby
a quiet morning before 'the week' begins
What a beautiful list...I love the underwater pictures. Joining you in gratitude...

Night swims and snowcones rock! But most of all, being able to change course. That's means a great deal.

So bounced over from Ann's. I've been touring all these amazing blogs and reading gratitude lists, but this line is my favorite of the night-
ReplyDelete"that we can change course when we realize that we are, in fact, worn out"
Now there is definately a story behind that. Nice meeting you!
How lovely to rejoice with you! May God bless you as you continue to count!
