angst

i am blessed to share this life with Believers
believing in the Only One there is to believe in.

she is embracing joy,
deep joy.
she's embracing love,
real love.
yet, she's crowded by the unknown.
beyond all of her desires, her efforts...
this is out of her control.

she is trusting Him for the next breath,
(you know - sometimes it almost hurts to breathe).
without Him,
without Him she cannot go on to the next second.
she has no strength, but His
no peace, but His
she has no hope, but Him alone

as. it. should. be.

she embraces, He holds
and  this  is  beautiful.

but
 why
   and
     how is it
that there is a measure of nagging angst? (thank you)
a question of what and why and how and when and if...
when we lean into Him so closely that the lines we've drawn begin to disappear, "i need Your peace; Father, i need You..." when we are living as we should:
depending on Him for this second, and if there is one after that...
why then are we anxious? when in that moment we should feel the greatest peace -we should be at peace
[why do we think that we were ever in control
why do we have peace (yes, counterfeit) when we think, "i've got this"]
what happened,
when did we buy into this lie?

and
we remember (praise Him)
control is an illusion. and
we may be crowded by the unknown. and
beyond all of our desires, our efforts...
this is out of our control.

peace is found in the knowing.
Truth always sets us free.
He is in control (and yes, He is omniscient).
He is good. and
we can trust Him.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." ~ Jesus, John 14

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth; That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me. Psalm 108:4-6

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

(hallelujah, she knows)

  2. Ahh this:

    "she embraces, He holds
    and this is beautiful."

and yet there is the angst... it is our pitiful human condition.

This spoke to me. I love God....I am a faithful follower....so why am I anxious when I know WHO holds tomorrow...and I KNOW that I reside in the palm of HIs hand! I'm praying through this. Thank you for taking the time to write truth.

    Blessings...

Amazing words put together to paint a great picture of our humanness and His glory! Thanks for picturing this and making it become real before my eyes, as He is so gently working here inside my heart. Thank you for being the beautiful you that you are and you're becoming!

  13. "control is an illusion"...I think I needed that today. I should probably write that on a post-it and stick it to my computer screen.
