Multitude Monday

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song (Psalm 95)

i am ever thankful for the gifts 516-538

their great excitement in discovering Smarties are made in Canada where Ann and Emily live

that they know of Ann and Emily as
alongside their mommy they have
read their stories, bits of their lives

that others so very dear to me participate in the gratitude community
the thanks they give
a glimpse into their lives,
which i celebrate

learning more from her about the 12 ways of communicating and
"eagerly wanting to develop the other end of that list, because.....
the Holy Spirit does his work" (quote from her :)

the first rainfall in almost six weeks

cards from canines (and their humans :)

girl love and boy love reading books side-by-side
books of bygone days held in their hands
the turning of their pages

one from her Mimi
read when she was about her age

one Daddy saved from childhood
wild at heart little boy now wild at heart man passing love of adventure (yes, also in typeset words) to his wild at heart son

these words passing through boy love lips:
thank you, God for Daddy
thank you, God for Mommy
thank you, God for A
thank you, God for me...

realizing that i don't often thank God for "me"
recognizing that i should, in honor of my Maker
in Whose image i am made, fearfully and wonderfully made

my hunger, my thirst
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled (Matthew 5)
the filling

pastor's words that bring a new perspective:
that temptation can be viewed as a gift, an opportunity to choose Him
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (I Corinthians 10)
and this reminder:
The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you (II Chronicles 15:2).
knowing that seeking Him is the focus, not the "but"

music
that energizes
and i dance
that soothes
and i sway
that sings of peace
and i flow
music made by His hands,
as the wind blows and the river flows
and i kneel

the way that i am loved (again and again and again)

holy experience

  1. I love that you do this:

"that they know of Ann and Emily as
    alongside their mommy they have
read their stories, bits of their lives"

    and this...

"realizing that i don't often thank God for "me"

oh how the words and thoughts of our babes can lead us, yes?

I love the books the kids are reading in the pics. My heart (and arms) ache at the thought of how nice it would be to be curled up in that chair with them and those books.
    February......

    Love you!
