Yay! it's Monday (:

one day i will move past the phrase and the daily repeating, and it will just be - because i know that it is. however, today i say once again: oh, His Sacred echo!

a few weeks ago i read the final chapter of Ann's One Thousand Gifts, and this past week Bible study focused on choosing the best; we completed a chart and looked up verses on the topic of sacrifices pleasing to God. the beautiful echo:

Psalm 116:17
I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.

Hebrews 13:15-16
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

I am thankful for what He is doing in and through Ann. I am thankful for her invitation to each of us to make it personal (through both her book and the gratitude community).
In reading Hebrews 13:16, much comes to mind... but today I am drawn to Multitude Monday and the Gratitude community where we record the good and we share it with others, where He is praised again and again - as it should be.

i am forever grateful & forever counting... Enter His gates with thanksgiving, And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His name. Psalm 100:4

the gifts, 930-

the opportunity to try it again, differently
knowing one day we'll get it!
until... we need to try it again, differently :)

this quote: Your challenge will not be in separating out the good from the bad, but in grabbing the best out of all the possible good" -Gordon MacDonald's Father

Praise Him!
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psalm 100

  1. Oh sister, this list is jam-packed with specialness! I especially love:
    trying again differently, all the birthday celebrations (you've been a busy mom and I do!), the rain on the car, the 100 year old penny, the best of the good quote and just you being you - always sharing God's word and your heart. You, your friendship, your reflection of Him and you sharing your list makes my heart happy, sister! Thank you!

    I love the boy in the goggles. I love that the girl wants to walk that bunny.
    Mostly, I love the sense of joy and wonder that I feel from you in this particular posting of gifts.... there is something quite.... 'tiggerish' about it!

    I pray the smiles and laughter and joyfulness persists into the rest of this day... and week!!

    I love you my sweet T!

  6. Nothing better than pictures to go with each one listed there! Makes it very hard to choose. But those cakes looked REALLY good to me. And the piano practice with the pup -- that was just too precious! Thanks for your list today. And a special thank you for your comments beforehand.
