the naming, or theming a year 

arrived at through prayer, reading, meditation, journaling

sadly, there have been years when within months I’ve forgotten altogether

and there have been years when the theme echoes throughout each day, all twelve months

this year, by God’s grace may i continually be remembered to slowing

2023 the year of Slowing
