Multitude Monday

Be not afraid of saying too much in the praises of God; all the danger is of saying too little  - Matthew Henry
i am forever grateful, forever counting His gifts (from my 1100's)....

i am thankful for the images i imagine as i hear the tales of toby-doo
smiling, self-comforting, sunning, and the list goes on

my reduce, reuse! cup
a sweet strawberry in my water

looking up through the trees to the blue, blue sky
looking up through the trees to the dark grey sky
looking up through the trees to the billowy clouds
looking up

that He has blessed me with eternal sisters
who love me, because He loved first
who walk with me
who pray with me
who fast with me
who love Him passionately
my eternal sisters

hearing girl love say, "doesn't the rain smell wonderful?!"
at the very same time boy love is singing his own version,
"it's raining, it's pouring, everyone is snoring!"

being reminded that waiting on the Lord is not passive

knowing that i bring nothing to the table
acknowledging that i fall short. but
oh, His grace. His amazing Grace!
i am His and i have the Light of life

this from Charles Spurgeon's Morning and Evening - Monday, June 27:
Beloved, it is not office, it is earnestness; it is not position, it is grace which will enable us to glorify God.... God is glorified by our serving him in our proper vocations.... Think little of yourselves, but do not think too little of your callings.... Let your first care be to glorify God to the utmost of your power where you are. Fill your present sphere to his praise, and if he needs you in another he will show it you. This evening lay aside vexatious ambition, and embrace peaceful content.
boy love asking me how to write a post script

the fourth of July
our nephews birthday (i remember the waiting room, the anticipation - it seems not long ago, yet it's been 11 years)
our nations Independence day
fireworks to celebrate both

this from Justin Davis:
peace is not the absence of conflict. peace is the presence of righteousness that allows a relationship to be restored. peace keeping is not the same as peace making. (Eph 4:15)

the ebb and flow
the cleansing

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
Let them sacrifice thank offerings
and tell of his works with songs of joy (Psalm 107:21-22)

  1. So good to read your thought. I cried when I heard how well you loved my dad in my absence. He and She were so blessed by your attention.
