-t- is for thankful

i have been remembered anew to the year of one (how quickly i lose focus. Father, thank you for your grace, your mercy). first, in the midst of our Organized Simplicity; maintaining the beauty of the truth presented with the beauty of our own pace - one thing at a time. and again Friday at Ann's:
Simplicity doesn’t mean we will live uncomplicated lives. Simplicity is a matter of Focus — the grace to focus our lives simply on Christ.
amen.

the beauty of this:
5 Things I Learned in 3 Days:
  1. Mandi is stronger spiritually and emotionally than I could have ever imagined. I am so thankful to be married to her. God is her anchor and right now she is Drew's.
  2. Our faith family at First Baptist Church of Orange Park is truly a family.
  3. Drew's doctor and other doctors like my brother-in-law Jason are a unique gift of grace from God. Thank you Lord for their oversized brains and unwavering dedication.
  4. Suffering is not abnormal. My thirty years of health, wealth and prosperity was abnormal. On Friday, we stepped into the world of suffering only to find that the rest of the world had been there the entire time.
  5. Songs and Bible verses about suffering make a whole lot more sense when you're actually experiencing some.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers for Drew....
You're wise beyond your years Jon. (read here)

  2. Simplicity doesn't mean our lives will be uncomplicated. That is a profound truth that helps to steer us in the right direction, I think, in our pursuit of simplicity. Knowing what it is not, is just as important as knowing what it is, yes?
I am thankful mama's chemo went OK. I feel shame at not checking in on her while we were back East..... doesn't seem right to say we were having too much fun. Sorry about that. I am grateful you posted here. It gives me just a little glimpse of your goings on. I look forward to speaking soon when you can fill me in on the many details of the story He tells through you. :)

    Much love,
    Kara
